Notes	From the marriage record (13-14): COUNTY: Rockingham Issued: [date not stated] GROOM Name: Wm P. Turner Father: Wm J. Turner Mother: Annie E. Turner BRIDE Name: Susan Young Father: Benj Young Mother: Fannie Young CERTIFICATE Marriage date: 7 Sep 1871 Location: Benj Youngs Performed by: Thos Price, Justice of the Peace [Note: The certificate incorrectly indicates the marriage of Wm P. Turner and Annie E. Young.] ===================================================== Note: The 1880 North Carolina census lists Susan Turner, age 21, born in NC, the wife of Wm P Turner. This implies that Susan was born c.1859. The marriage record indicates that she married Wm P Turner in Sep 1871. If both of these documents are correct, then Susan was about 12 years old when she married. More likely, the 1880 census is incorrect. ==========
